Nipple Discharge

I noticed discharge of white fluid (prolly milk) from nipple of my left breast while massaging body oil upon my breasts. To check, I squeezed it and it did excrete the fluid. Same happened when I squeezed my right breast. Is it suspicious, since I am just 22 and unmarried?
Besides, I am an asthmatic patient and do use ventolin inhaler frequently and at times, I use anti-allergies that are quite sedative and a beclomethasone inhaler. Please tell me whether should I have a breast exam or not.

Dear Xunzz, Many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed, and its normal. Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white. Some women are more prone to more discharge including women on; birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications or on major tranquilizers. These medications increase prolactin levels in the body. There is also certain life periods when a person is more likely to get discharge than others: there may be more discharge at puberty and at menopause than the years in-between.

Always get those things checked out.  It is comforting to hear, you don't have anything to worry about it is normal. Does it happen close to your cycle?  That would be a question that your doctor may ask you.  Get it checked out.

Hiya, i have been experiancing the same problem, i get nipple discharge either milky yellow or clear i get more before my period, and its only come out if i really squezze harder. Its comes more just before my period.

hi! I'm a breat cancer survivor and had similar symtoms (symptoms) before and after my treatment. The last time it happened it scared me so I had my gynecologist, breast surgeon and onocologist look at it. All of them said it was fine. One said it was related to estrogen production and one said it was just like a pimple. Similarly to what the first response said, they said to worry if it was bloody. I'd still show anything suspicious to a doctor, but I thought I'd let you know what three other doctors said.

I wish I had known this site was here. I would not have allowed months to go by with a clear discharge out of my left breast. I went to the doctor today and she seems so concerned, and Im now so scared.Don't ever just let it go.

im 34 and i notice when sqezing my nipples that i had some white discharge came out i had a partchal histaolretamy 3 years ago my daughter is almost 16 is this normal i take valum for pantic attacts .
