Nipple discharge and rash

by skehiaian, May 05, 2006 12:00AM
Both of my breasts have a rash on them, mostly around my niple. My left nipple is spreading out and changing shape. Both breasts are hot and itchy. Both nipples are having a yellow discharge, almost like puss.  My high definition mamogram (mammogram) looked fine.

My doctors are not sure what the problem is, they are going to do a biopsy, but until I get those results can you give me some ideas of what this medical problem can be?

Dear skehiaian:  Without evaluation, it is impossible for us to speculate on the cause of the problem.  Certainly skin on the breasts is just like skin anywhere else and is subject to a variety of skin and other disorders.  If your doctor cannot identify the problem by evaluation, a biopsy may be the only way to figure out the nature of the problem and determine appropriate treatments.
