No answers forthcoming

Hi,
I posted earlier about a breast lesion that had grown from nothing on a mamo in June 2006 to a 40 mm lesion by mid-November.

In the meanwhile, I've had a digital mamogram, an ultrasound exam, an MRI, and a biopsy (core -- no numbing; painful). So far I have been given no diagnosis. The surgeon who performed the biopsy is on vacation until mid-January and has given his office staff orders not to give out information in his absence.

The only findings of which I am aware are those described in the report: a polylobed, echographically heterogeneous lesion with a moderately rapid and moderately intense curve, having a signal equal to that of fat. The lesion itself shows up green on the MRI, and there seems to be no significant axillary nodular involvement; at least lymph nodes are not mentioned on the MRI report.

God only knows what I'm lugging around in that breast.

Thanks to all for reading my postings and being patient with my anguish.

Thanks so much for your response. Yes, I think the "don't worry too much" is a fairly typical male way of saying "get a grip on yourself." Well, I do have a grip on myself; what I DON'T have are any answers or any help.

Thanks again and happy new year to all!

Obviously Dennis has never been worried about breast cancer...to not worry is impossible...I am sorry you have had to go through this and hope that the info is sent to you soon.

Thanks for your interest.

Unfortunately, my window for diagnosis in Europe closed this morning, and I had to return to my post in Africa. I assume I will get the results of the biopsy eventually, one way or another.

Thanks again.

Hi.
Don't worry too much.
It would be best to wait for the official result of the examination done on you.
Or you can ask for a copy of the result and bring it to another physician.
Please do post your updates.
Good luck.

can you get copies of your files and take to another doc.   they are your records and you should be able to get them, regardless of what the doc told his staff

There is nothing I can say that will take the fear away, but know that you are the subject of many prayers.   In your last post I think you said you were going to try to get another opinion.  Were you able to get that scheduled?
