Non-surgical treatment of Grade 2 breast cancer

Are there any experimental or under trial treatments for breast cancer (infiltrating duct carcinoma) that do not involve surgery? Thanks.

Standard treatment would always involve surgical removal of the cancerous tumor/area followed by whatever medical treatment is determined to be the most appropriate in each individual case. To rely on strictly  medical treatment would be very risky indeed.    Regards ....

Thank you. However, if a patient was unable to go under general anesthesia, what would her alternative be?

I think that breast surgery can be done without general anesthesia. it's really not very painful at all.  I am not certain what they would use but ask. (I mean I had a spinal with my c-sections and I do not know all the options, but do not assume you have no choices, as you really probably have) KAT
