Normal?

I have recently undergone my second mastectomy. Much to my surprise, the incision was made diagnolly across my breast. I was told this was the preferred way.  I found the scar most distressing and I would like to know if what I was told is true.

Dear Upset:  Unless reconstruction is done during surgery, most mastectomy scars are diagnonal.
