Is there any evidence to suggest that a good nutritional diet could/would help treat or prevent cancer of the breast from spreading to other parts of the body. I start chemo soon and am concerned about my health. I also have rhuematoid arthritis and I am taking cod liver oil caps 1000mgs a day, sulpher tabs, vitamin e 800mgs once a week. I eat a lot of fish and chicken, 2 portions of veg a day and possibly 2 portions of fruit. I also have osteoporsis so I now take calcium tabs 2 a day. I was on hrt for a long time but since my lymph nobe bioposy I was told to come of it straight away. So what nutritional  diet is good for this?

Sounds like you are doing pretty good.  If you are just starting chemo, I would recommend a good B-complex vitamin to help with energy.  Make sure your onc approves.  I also changed milk to one that does not have hormones (I use Horizon which tastes more like reg milk than some I've tried).  No point in adding additional hormones, but that's not a proven thing, I think.  More of a precaution in my own mind.  Make sure your onc knows what you are taking, some of the anti-oxidant vitamins can have an adverse affect on what the chemo is trying to do, especially if you take an abnormally large amount (above RDA).

I also walked at least 20 minutes a day to help with keeping physical.  Drink lots of water to help with kidney and liver function.

Eat good fruits and veggies (more if you can) to help with digestion (fiber stuff).  That's about all I did.

Best of luck on chemo!
