PASH & HCG

I recently had a large lump removed from my left breast. It was diagnosed as PASH. I had just finished taking a pregnancy hormone HCG for weight loss for about one month prior to finding the lump.  I intended to do one more round of the HCG but after having this diagnosis of PASH and going through surgery, I am concerned that it might have been caused by or accelerated by the HCG.  Could you please advise me if there is any connection between the HCG hormone and PASH?  I could not find any information relating the two on the internet.  My breast specialist did not feel the benign lump was caused by the HCG but that question and response was made PRIOR to the diagnosis of PASH.  Please advise.  Thank you!

Your breast specialist would probably be the best source of information regarding this matter, but probabaly no one will be able to give you a definitive answer.

If you click on the second item, "HCG and breast cancer," in the "Related discussions" box below my post, you will find a discussion by a doctor in regard to HCG and breast cancer, although not specifically in regard to PASH.

For previous posts regarding PASH, type PASH in the "Search this community" box to the top right of your post.

Even if the HCG might have had some contribution to your condition, which doesn't seem too likely, you can't rewrite history, so I would suggest you try to concentrate your energy and efforts for health on the future.

Best wishes...
