PLEASE help!!

I am 25 years old.. but this lump showed up only on my right nipple when I was about 21. I had recently had a baby so my gyn thought it was just a blocked milk duct. It started as a little white bump. Then it grew and grew. It gets to be so full that it hurts. I went back to the doc but he didn't know what it was. He sent me to a breast clinic. They told me I was eating too much red meat ( I do NOT like meat so I don't eat it alot) and said to use hot compresses. That still hasn't worked. Here I am 4+ years later and its not any better. I have been back and forth to the breast docs. They did ultrasounds said they couldn't see anything but now my nipple is HUGE! The thick white stuff comes out of more than one duct. And now I literally have a hole where one of the bumps have released. It was on my bra.. it was pretty thick. Kind of like a silly string textured. I can SEE inside my nipple. It hurts so bad I can't touch it. I just don't know what to do. It doesn't seem like the right docs are concerned. What could this be?? Maybe if I do my own research they will listen.

request a biopsy and an MRI and as for what to suggest as a possibility, ask them to consider inflammatory breast cancer
its rare and a lot of women who have it, are mis diagnosed at first
your symptoms do not sound like the typical IBC symptoms, but at least it is something they should check, I think, for your peace of mind

good luck!!

I have seen a breast specialist.. she was a breast surgeon actually.. here in Cleveland. She was aware of all my symptoms and still didn't run any tests other than the ultrasound. Because the ultrasound didn't show anything they didn't want to go any further. She said.."we will get to the bottom of this" but never followed through. It is the only clinic I can go to with my insurance.. at least in the area. I have never had a mammogram or and MRI. I haven't had any surgery or trauma to that area. I'm not sure if I have a hormonal imbalance or not. I have had many issues with my periods and what not. But this lump has always been there. Doesn't get smaller.. and never goes away.. for about 4.5 years now. ANY info would be greatly appreciated.. just so I can go in and say.. could it be this.. could it be that? lol.. Thanks much!

Hi,

You should consult a breast specialist and discuss your symptoms in detail with him/her and get a proper clinical evaluation done.

Has the fluid been sent for lab analysis? What do your mammogram, ultrasound, MRI reports say?

Have you had any surgery or any history of trauma or injury in the past?

Let us know the above details , so that we might be able to help you with your query.

Do you have any other symptoms that could point towards a hormonal imbalance?

Keep us posted.

Regards.
