Paget's disease

My mammagram showed some changes which now require that I have further evaluation.  I have not found any lumps but I do sometimes have itching on the nipple of my right breast.  I have read that there is sometimes a connection with Padget's disease and breast cancer.  If true what other symptoms would I have.

My sister had Pagets breast cancer 4 years ago. It is I guess a rarer type of breast cancer. She had a very itcy rash on her breast in the nipple area and her md was treating it for eczema. Finally when she went to her gynocologist he was very concerned. She had it checked and turned out to be Pagets cancer. She got a mastectomy and was put on hormone type of therapy. There was very little spread to the nodes and she is ok now, She did not have to have chemo or radiation

Nothing can be said without a clinical examination and relevant investigations.

You should consult your breast specialist for a clinical evaluation and a skin biopsy would be required for a diagnosis of paget's disease.

What is your age? Have you noticed any abnormal features on breast self examination?
