Pain in Armpit

Pain in Armpit

I am a survivor of breast cancer.  Five years ago I discovered a lump underneath my left armpit initially not painfull.  Was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had a lumpectomy and 15 out of 24 lymph nodes were found to be cancerous and removed, chemo, rads & tamoxifen.  I have now had a double mastectomy and re constructive surgery.
Recently over the past few weeks I have been experiencing a pain in the same area of my armpit it comes and goes with a general aching that lasts.  I am concerned having had so many lymph nodes affected are my new symptons a cause for concern being a re-currance?

I would certainly have it ck.d out even though it could be any number of things; even just an enlarged node due to some minor infection somewhere. With your history it's always best to ck. it out to be sure.   Regards ...
