I have joint pain and muscle pain. My upper torso, head and next feel like it is a flu of some kind. I have a bad headache lasting for days now but no fevor. I had four rounds of chemo 9 taxol 25 sessions of radiation. I already have neuropathy pretty bad... can it get worse?
Hi.
Though it is indeed possible to develop pain symptoms or syndromes after chemotherapy, this is rather somewhat unlikely from the drugs you have received and also the pain characteristic is not consistent with chemotherapy induced pains. The pains usually caused by chemotherapy is that of neuropathic pain, and frank arthritis is not that common and is usually transient.
Aside from rheumatoid arthritis, other causes would include carpal tunnel syndrome which would need an occupational therapist, steroid injections, or a surgical operation.
