Thank you. Nope I'm not pregnant since I am not sexually active. It's just I have a family history of cancer. My father's father (my grandfather) has 2 sisters who died of breast cancer and a niece who also died of breast cancer. Also my mother's mom (my grandmother) has a sister who also died of breast cancer. Thank you for your advice. God bless. :)
Hi,
Is it possible that you might be pregnant?Usually areolas become darker during pregnancy, which could start with one areola becoming darker and then the other one catching up.
If you are sure you are not pregnant, then hormonal changes (due to an increase of estrogen level),could cause areola darkening. This can happen during your menstrual cycles,or due to certain medications, particularly birth control pills.
I don't think you should worry about breast cancer, since you mention that you have no other symptoms, but if you are not sure what is going on with your body,I would recommend scheduling an appointment with your OBGYN for evaluation just to make sure that all is fine okay?.
Take care .
