Phyllodes tumour, borderline

I have been recently diagnosed with a borderline phyllodes tumor and have just had a second operation as not enough healthy tissue was taken out with the tumour a month and a half ago. I am somewhat  shocked that my oncologist has told me to come back for a check up in a year's time. Would you consider this standard procedure?

Dear alinad49:  The follow up after phyllodes tumor resection would likely be determined by the doctor.  A year seems a long time if this was truly borderline.  You might want to check again with your medical oncologist or seek a second opinion so that you feel comfortable.
