Dear SammyJo, The skin of the nipple, like other areas of the body can develop pimples. If this does not heal or symptoms worsen she should bring it to the attention of her doctor for assessment. From what you describe above this does not sound suspicious for a breast cancer problem.

No, I have not ever had it looked at. However, I am due for a mammo tomorrow and it is there this time! So maybe I will be able to find out something about it. It hasn't grown in size or changed at all since I posted in March. It's just something that is there. There is absolutely no fluid inside it. It is just a solid and very hard "pimple" like thing..about the size of the green light on my computer monitor that shows that the monitor is on. (Sorry but that was the best analogy I could think of to compare the size of the "pimple" to. I will come back and let you know what the mammo report says in a week or so or whenever the report becomes available to me. I hope its nothing to be concerned about and the same will be true for you!
Anyone have a red spot on the nipple appear after DCIS and radiation? 2 years after lumpectomy and radiation (3years ago), a 1/2 inch circular spot showed up on my aureola. Tender to the touch, a little hard, with slightly raised surface. It is redish with brownish spots. Multiple Onco doctors say it's just a boil.
I have had this small, whitish "pimple" on my right nipple too. It has come and gone for the past year or more...once or twice I took a sterile needle and tried to "pop" it...what came out was like a hard, tiny grissle type thing. It left a "hole" and then it cleared up both times. Now it has come back again, in the exact same spot. It doesn't seem to grow or change in character. Is this something that needs to be seen by a doctor? There has never been any fluid or blood (except for when I tried to pop it). It does concern me as I am 42 years old and I have have numerous breast cysts and recently, one 2cm cyst aspirated. I think what concerns me most is that this "pimple" is on the breast that I had aspirated several months ago. The pathology report for the aspiration said " FNA RIGHT / NEGATIVE FOR MALIGNANT CELLS / APOCRINE METAPLASIA IS PRESENT / SINCE THE PRESENT ASPIRATE OF THE BREAST IS HYPOCELLULAR, IT MAY NOT BE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PATIENTS LESION. CORRELATION WITH CLINICAL AND MAMMOGRAPHIC FINDINGS IS RECOMMENDED. SUGGEST FOLLOW UP AS CLINICALLY APPROPRIATE " ...... That was the end. The doctor who did the procedure didn't seem to think there is any reason for me to be concerned with the pathology report. He gave me no follow up appt. But, this "pimple" wasn't there when he did the aspiration. My questions is, should I be concerned since it keeps coming back? And should I be concerned that the cyst that was aspirated has since come back as well? Thank you for all your time and patience in thsi matter! Have a great day!!! Will await your reply!!!
cancer would almost never behave like that. It's probably ok to apply heat to it a few times a day, and see if it fully resolves. However, if drainage persists, or it recurs, it should be evaluated. And, since no online suggestion is as accurate as a direct evaluation, it wouldn't hurt to see her doctor to be sure!
