Pimple on nipple

I have a small white hard pimple on the end of my nipple. What would cause something like this and if serious what kind of doctor should I visit?

Hi. There are two possibilities as to what that "pimple" is. It may actually be a pimple - an infection of the sweat glands around the nipple, or it may be a clogged mammary gland duct. Either condition can result when the nipple area is not being properly cleaned, which leads to dirt clogging the pores of the sweat glands or the mammary ducts. It isn't really a serious condition, but you may need to see a doctor (even a general practitioner will do) to get a prescription for antibiotics.
