Please help me

My friend , 30 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer just before her baby ( first), was born in Nov 2002.She underwent surgery , her breast was removed, lymphnodes were cut, and doctors told that it was stage IIIA. Now as she was to start chemotherapy, last Monday her dcotor told here that yellow count in her lever has increased and he is not sure what could have caused it. So again CT scans and different blood tests have been scheduled for next Monday. Can somebody please help us and tell us if somebody is aware of similar kind of case. We all are worried.

Dear help me, It sounds like there was an increase in the liver enzymes or bilirubin levels of her blood. The rise in these liver function tests could be caused by a number of reasons, including some problem with the liver, but further evaluation is needed to pinpoint the cause. Before being able to proceed with chemotherapy they would want to evaluate what is happening with the liver that is being reflected in the blood work.  In order to give chemotherapy safely they would want to be sure the liver is working properly.
