Post operative breast reduction

My mother had breast reduction following breast cancer removal three weeks ago.  She is healing fine onthe outside yet is feeling tightness and some itching and burning sensation from inside.  There is not redness or fever.  Is this normal?

Dear Kimmer7:  It can be normal to have odd sensations (like tightness, etc) during the healing process following any surgery.  If she is concerned, the best person to discuss these feelings is the surgeon who did the operation.

Hi, i am not a dr. but i had breast reduction surgery and only thing i can add that i experienced  breast tightness after the reduction that lasted for several months until all healed and the "new breast" settled into its new size. hope i have helped a bit...
