I previously have had breast cancer in my left breast and now after a mammogram and ultrasound have been told that I have a fibroadenoma in my right breast up against my chest wall. Should I be worried? What will they do now? My doctor is away until next week and this is driving me crazy.
Fibroadenoma are benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigolumpsLumps in the breasts that usually are left alone or surgically removed if they cause much pain.Normally all you have to do is to have routineRoutine sputum culture mammograms to monitor this lumpLumps in the breasts, could be after six months or one year all depending of what your treating doctor advises you. When you will see your doctor next week,I am sure that he will put your mind at ease, because a fibroadenoma are not cancerous and you shouldn't really worry so much about it.Best wishes.
