Prolonged fever

Prolonged fever

First, thank you for this service.  In April I was diagnosed with noninvasive breast cancer.  After two biopsy's, I had radiation for six weeks.  Two months ago I developed a low grade temperature that I am unable to get rid of.  My only other symptoms was a build up of fluid in my breast, which they drained and I am experiencing pain on my left lower side.  My question is with all the doctors that I now have, who should I see about this or is it nothing and just forget about it.  I am so very grateful that my cancer was found so early that I truly feel I shouldn't complain about anything small.  Please help.  I really do need some advice.  I don't know what to do.  Thank you for any suggestions.

Dear faw1955:  A low grade fever is not normal.  You should see the breast doctor first, to be sure there is no infection in the breast.  If not, go to your regular doctor.  You may need additional testing to determine the source of the fever.
