Related to? IBC Inflammatory Breast Cancer

I was diagnosed with IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer) in February 2002.  MRM in August 2002, bone mets May 2003.  It's been slow and steady, but I've been hanging in here.  New lump seems to have developed in the opposite armpit.  Swollen node maybe?  I have an appt. with the Doc on Monday morning....but until then, just trying to settle some worries...  Should I be worrying?  The discomfort seems to radiate towards the front of my arm, from the armpit. It isn't warm or discolored.

Dear Rosensetal:  This could or could not be related.  Most cancer is not painful but this is not insurance that this is not cancer.  Hopefully, upon examination, it will turn out to be unrelated.

Hello from another IBC sister!
You are doing the right thing by seeing a doctor immediately. If only for peace of mind, to rule out anything worrisome.

If you haven't already discovered these sites, there are two excellent IBC sites, and I will list them below for you.

IBC Research Foundation, which has an excellent email list to which you can post questions and get tons of answers and support :

Click on site map to find email list.

And IBC Support, ditto excellent message board and support:
