Reoccuring Painful Lump under right armpit

I'm only twenty-one years old and for the past four-five years I have had a reoccuring pain lump develop and disappear under my armpit. I have gone to a doctor before who just told me that I had nothing to worry about and that he could barely feel it... blah. I have also gone to a clinic who seemed more concerned and advised me to see a breast specialist. It's hard for me to make appointments because of the infrequency of the problem. Is this at all normal? Should I be worried?

Dear orangekitty:  A painful lump that comes and goes is not likely cancer.  It is more likely to be an inflammation or something as simple as an ingrown hair.  If the lump grows or persists, it would be more important to consider the breast specialist.  At your age, breast cancer is highly unlikely.
