About a year ago I found a lumpLumps in the breasts in my breast. Being 21, I figured there wasn't much to worry about, but I saw my doctor and after viewing my mammogram she said she wasn't sure if it was cancerous but she wouldn't sleep until I got it out. I had the lumpLumps in the breasts removed, and they said it was a tumor, but it didn't appear to be cancerous. I now have another lumpLumps in the breasts on my right breast close to my arm pit. This time it is a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bigger, and all the glands under my arm pit are swollenSwollen glands. I am curious how commonCommon cold it is for these tumors to reoccur, and is my chance of having cancer increasing?
I would appreciate any help.
From your description the tumor you had removed must have been a Fibroadenoma; a fairly common benign tumor. I'm somewhat suprised that your tumor was removed without a biopsy being done first as these tumors are usually left alone unless they become very large and troublesome. Fibroadenomas may very well continue to develop and should always be checked to be sure that they are indeed benign tumors. This condition does increase your risk for developing breast cancer later in life but only slightly. Regards ..
