The "simple cyst" of course is nothing to be terribly concerned about but I can certainly understand your worry over the other finding. This mass as stated is nearly 2 in. X 1/2 in. in size and does have some characteristics that sometimes do indicate something of a more serious nature. I won't tell you not to worry but please don't over-stress yourself until you know for certain what it all means. Evidently you are receiving excellent Medical Care since additional testing is being done on this issue. This doesn't mean of course that it will be cancer but keep in mind that it is a possibility. The treatment and cure rate today is excellent and gives us every reason to be "normal" once again after proper treatment. I don't believe in "sugar coating" issues but I also don't believe that a woman should panic when they hear the words "possibly malignant". There is also a good chance that this mass is something OTHER than cancer. Please continue to follow whatever is advised by your Dr. and consider this as a problem that must be dealt with like a chore that has to be DONE.  You are certainly in our prayers here and we definitely want to hear from you as soon as you  have additional information. We are here for YOU and we have all been through these problems ourselves and I might add have survived :)  Kindest regards ....

There isn't much to say here except that you should definitely keep the appointment you have with the Surgeon. There would be no reason to see someone else because the wait would most likely be the same or even longer. I'm sure the Surgeon will order some additional testing such as a Mammogram and probably some type of biopsy to determine exactly what this lesion represents. Until then it's just "wait" and this is often this is always the worst. As you know this issue needs to be resolved and there will be waiting all along the process so be as calm as possible and take things one step at a time. I'm sure your answers will come when some additional testing is done and evaluated by the Breast Specialist.  Regards ...
