SINGLE RED SPOT

by lettatc, May 18, 2009 03:21PM
I am a 46 year old female whose 1/2 sister was diagnosed with breast cancer after the age of 50.  I recently found a red spot (very small but growing just a little) on the nipple one of my breasts.  I don't have any rash or heat.  When I touch the red spot it lightens a bit but comes right back.  I was told at my last well-woman check that I had some hardening under the same breast.  I tried to get an appointment with an oncologist (after my primary recommended) but the wait is 6 to 8 weeks.  Should I try to force an appointment earlier?  Thank you.
