Scared mammogram age 33

I found a lump  on left breast 2 weeks ago went to the Dr. had a mammogram they found a cyst on my right breast  and they want to do a biposy the radiologist used the words "more worrisome calcifications" he made me think that the cyst was no big deal, but feels that I should have both biopsied.  I have a pt. with a breast center, but I am so scared and I am only 33 years old and I just had a baby in April.  Could it be my harmones?

It's normal to worry so I won't tell you that you shouldn't ; we all do it. The cyst wouldn't be of much concern as they do occur within the breasts rather frequently. The calcifications also occur often within the breast tissue but when they are observed in clusters or groups they do cause concern. They are the indication that the breast tissue is reacting to something abnormal within the breast. This certainly does NOT automatically mean cancer. A biopsy is the only way to determine the cause of the abnormality; many will reveal a benign condition. Try not to become too upset about this but do follow up with the recommendation of the biopsy.  Kindest regards .....
