Screening

I just had a mammogram. I realize techs cannot give you results but if there was an abnormality, would they keep you for further testing?v I had a couple of ladies tell me that when their mammograms were over, the techs kept them for further screening. Both of the ladies had cancer.

I had a screening mammo on Aug. 4.  They called me about a week later and said I needed a diagnostic one at a Breast Center. Did that on 8-22,  was told I had to have a biopsy 3 weeks later (benign).   I don't know how every place does it, but that was my experience.  Can you call them to have your question answered?
