Seat Belt brusing

Seat Belt brusing

Over a year ago I was in a car accident and the seat belt smashed my left breast and left a knot and bruise.  The bruise lasted close to 6 months and the knot kept the same size for about 8 month and has only recently gonebelow the skin. u can still feel it.  It is small and feels like it has broken up into little pieces.  I have the same thing on my leg from where i hit the dash. The concern is the breast though. I had a mammogram about 6 month after the inital accident and told the xray tech about it and she noted it. Everything came out fine. This year I told them about it when it came time for the mammogram and they said that they see it and want more testing.  My dr said that it was from the seat belt but they want more pictures. Is this anything to worry about?????

I don't believe it would be .... perhaps the reason for more pictures just to be sure that it is a hematoma, which by the way may take very long time to be absorbed. They also might want additional views at different angles to be sure the hematoma isn't hiding anything else. I wouldn't worry about it since you have had it checked. It could also be just to track the changes that you mentioned above.  Regards ....
