Dear Linda107, It is not unusual for a person to be asked to return for a more precise mammogram after a screening mammogram if there are any areas that may be of concern.  Sometimes breast tissue may fold over and cause a "shadow" to be seen on a film so often with a more localized compression of the breast tissue the "shadow" may resolve.
