Sharp pain and lump on right breast. Should I be worried?

I am almost 22 and just recently found a lump on my right breast. I found it when I have been having a really sharp pain on my Brest all day. Didn't think anything of it at first because my period just ended that day so I figured that's why it was sore. I then felt a lump that was never there before and it's been two days and the lump and the really sharp pain hasn't gone away. Should I be worried??

Breast cysts are fairly common among women and can be quite painful. These as well as the pain can come and go in relation to your periods; this is due to the hormone levels in the body. You might see you Dr. (either PCP or OB/GYN) for a clinical breast exam and possibly an Ultrasound to determine if the lump is indeed a cyst. It's always a good idea to have any changes in the breasts ck.d out by your Physician.    Regards ....
