I am 69 years old. The radiologist recommended that I see a surgeon. I have made an appointment to see a surgeon, but I am a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys apprehensive because I don't know if surgery is necessary after reading up on this condition.
However, I don't want to do nothing and find that later it may develop into cancer. Can you give me some advice or questions to ask the surgeon when I see him? Thanks.
You are wise to follow the recommendation and make the appnt. with a Surgeon. He/she will review your films and Pathology report and make a decision based on those results. It is often advised to remove these areas to prevent any further development. I'm not sure what questions to tell you to ask of the surgeon but a good rule of thumb is to ask "Why" to whatever statements are made. If you think of anything specific that you need to know you might be wise to write it down so you don't let it slip your mind at the time of the appointment. Don't feel rushed ... don't hesitate to say "wait, I still have questions". If you speak up you will be heard. Good Luck ......
