Soreness underneath breast

I have been sore underneath my breasts for about 2 weeks. I usually dont get any soreness with my menstrual cycle which is due any day now. I cant really feel any lump, I do have normally lumpy breasts which runs in my family. But they do feel alittle heavier when I take my bra off and I cant tell if they seem any larger. They're only sore if I push in that area, or I can feel it after I have had my bra on all day and then I take it off. My 1 yr old daughter alos climbed up on my lap and pushed into my breast and it hurt. What could this be? I dont really think it has anything to do w/ my cycle bc I never get sore breasts.

It sounds as though you DO get sore breasts with your cycle.  Also, you may have an incorrectly fitting bra that is causing you to get sore when you wouldn't ordinarily.  Our breasts do get accumulated fluid in them prior to our cycle and that would cause them to get heavier/swell.   I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Make a few changes to your bra and see if they still hurt prior to your next cycle.  If you can't help but worry, go see your doc and ask him to check it out.   Merry Christmas....Vicki

Dear shannon270:  Soreness and swelling are very common and are generally associated with the menstrual cycle.  Since your cycle is due very shortly, it seems worth evaluating the soreness afterward and seeing if it is still there.  If it is, then you may want to be evaluated by your doctor.
