Spot on breast and itchy..

Spot on breast and itchy..

I have had a spot on my right breast (right outside the aereola) for several months.  It is about the size of a pencil eraser and sometimes it is dark red and sometimes it fades to light pink, but it never goes away.  I saw my dr. a couple of months ago about it and she felt no lump and suspected a staph infection.  I did antibiotics for 2 weeks, but it didn't go away.  I was going to see a dermatologist, but I've been trying to take care of it myself.  I have been using several natural things to try to get rid of it, thinking it might be fungal.  When I didn't put anything on it, the spot would grow a darker red and sometimes another bright red patch a couple of inches away would try to come up.  Then I would apply a natural antifungal (like coconut oil or apple cider vinegar) and the extra spot would go away, but the original one remains....I can never quite seem to get completely rid of it.  Now, in the past week, I feel itchiness.  It feels like it's coming from the inside.  I have been a bit concerned reading about IBC, but my breast is not swollen or warm.  Does anyone have an experience with IBC that sounded similar?  Or does this sound like a dermatology issue?  Trying to figure out who would be best to see.  I appreciate any help.

I would advise you to stop putting various things on the area and see a Dermatologist. It certainly doesn't sound anything like IBC. The skin on the breast is the same as skin on any other part of the body and it is subject to the same problems. Dermatology is your best choice at this point.   Regards ....
