Stage 1-IDC

Hi Im 34 y/o diagnosed with stage 1-IDC on the left breast;had mastectomy clean margins;clear bones,lymph nodes, liver, lungs;tumor grade 2; tumor size 1.8cm;ER/PR+ Her2-. Onco advised to do chemo (3 rounds of CEF and 3 rounds of Taxotere (start Aug4)and 5 years of Tamoxifen (Still hesitant to do chemo).

What are the chance of a good prognosis? with and without chemo? What are the chances of coming back? Are tumor grades determine effectivity of chemo? Or the ER/PR status? Start of chemo aug 4 surgery was july 5. Is there a reason for the rush? can I do it later or start with Tamoxifen first? Dr says even if im qualified for the Oncotype DX I will still be required to do chemo given the size of my tumor and my age. Please clarify.

Hello, I'm new to this site just today wanted to find someone w/ similar situation to talk too. I am 41 dx w stage 1 IDC t1 n0/5 m0 ,tumor 2.0 cm ER/PR + Her2- also, on left breast and had bil mastectomy 7-7-11, I wont see the onco till 8-4-11 tx options.
