My mother has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer so I went for a routineRoutine sputum culture mamo which has now resulted in a stereotactic biopsy. Once again my results are "inconclusive".....thought the preliminary results are that the tumor is benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo but the pathologist is sending tiny cell out for specail stains. The radiologist says they llok like smooth muscle cell...whatever that means. So once again i put in a holding pattern till next week. Any thoughts or explainations?? Much apreciated! :)
Not sure if I can help you or not, however, I too just had a stereotactic biopsy done to remove calcifications. The pathology report also came back inconclusive because they can't find the calcifications in the tissue. I was mammo'd after the procedure which shows the calcifications were removed - so where did the calcifications go?? Got a huge hematomo which now obscures any findings on mammo. I have to go back in February for another mammo and possible biopsy. I know how you feel about being in a holding pattern -true limbo - Please hang in there as this is what we have to do. Have faith and hold on! Have then explain to you what the pathology report says on the cell they are sending out. If you don't understand, tell them to explain it in a way that you can make sense of it.
