Surgeries/Tests

PART TWO:

I no longer care to endure this pain, whether it be Breast Cancer or not. These painful Nodules need to be removed! I need to have them tested to see if it's Breast Cancer or not but I do NOT want to have each of them go for Biopsies after pieces are taken from me over and over. I just want to have them completely removed, then sent for tests, biopsies, donate to science, whatever.

I have no Insurance and with a "Pre-existing Condition" (Fibrocystic Breast Disease), it is difficult to get Insurance and if I do qualify, it will be at least 6 Months before I have coverage. I need to act NOW before it's "TOO LATE".  I found organizations that help Women over 40 and Women under 30. I am 32 Years Old.... makes me nervous that this gray area I fall into, has no financial help. I need financial help to get the surgeries, to get the tests, etc. With no insurance and being in that "Gray Risk Area", I don't know what to do, except eat painkillers once a month for 2 weeks every month and remain depressed and nervous.

Please help advise. Thank you for your time.

A biopsy of some type is the only way to differentiate between benign and malignant findings in the breast. I don't know what you are calling "signs of malignancy" because there are no real signs of malignancy ..... not even with all types of imagery ... only different degrees of suspicion even to the trained, experienced eye of the Radiologist. A Breast Specialist would be a good source of information as to the proper testing (both imaging and / or biopsy) to determine the proper action in your particular situation. Regards ....

Thank you for your response. I have several nodules in both. Some are large and it was suggested I have the large ones removed. I suggested surgery because I endure extreme amounts of pain for 2 weeks out of every month. Is it possible, through further testing, that any of them could be malignant, given that I see signs of malignancy and only some hurt? I have not had any biopsies at all to determine whether benign or not.

Evidently you are describing Fibrocystic Breast Condition which is a benign condition that affects about 45% of all women. This condition is not uncommon and as a rule is not treated by Surgery unless the nodules are very large. It can usually be determined by either Mammogram but probably Ultrasound in your case that these are benign nodules and they are not only biopsied. There are things other than pain medication that can help such as eliminating caffeine, Vit. E is sometimes presctibed. I think your jump to surgery for these benign findings is rather drastic and probably unnecessary. I would doubt that there would be much financial help available for such surgery. If you are truly indigent then there is usually State Public Assistance which would offer some form of free Medical Care. I'm not sure either that a benign condition would influence your obtaining Med. Ins. in the future. Regards ....
