Suspicious mamogram(mammogram)

I was told that my annual mamogram (mammogram) showed scattered fibroglandular densities and a lump in my right breast that only showed up on one view.  Is this likely to be cancer?  I am a 49 year old in menopause.  My paternal grandmother died from breast cancer.  My maternal grandmother's sister was a breast cancer survivor.  My doctor is recommending a more in-depth mamogram (mammogram) and an ultrasound.

Dear chugar:  It is not uncommon for a density to show up on one view.  It could be as simple as tissue folding over on itself but futher evaluation such as spot compression and/or ultrasound is generally recommended to further characterize the problem.  Without these additional tests, it is unlikely that anyone can speculate on what this might be at this juncture.
