Swelling and pain in my right armpit

I have a swelling in my right armpit, which is tender to touch and causes the skin there to sag but otherwise it does not hurt. Should i be worried about this???  Is it just an infection that i should see a GP for or linked to breast cancer???

Hi,
In my opinion, I think you should have this swollen lymph node in your axilla area, checked out by your doctor.
Usually, when there is infection or inflammation somewhere in the body, a lymph node may enlarge, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's something bad.
Depending of course on what your doctor deems appropriate he/she may recommend an antibiotic, monitor the lymph node growth,or ordering more investigative tests to rule out cancer.
I truly hope that there is nothing serious, but please have this problem checked out by your physician.
Best wishes..
