Swollen Lymph Nodes

Hi, I have a 1 swollen lymph node above my right clavicle for 1 1/2 years. At that time I had an ultrasound and was told to not worry about it. But i have worried about it. So I recently had another ultrasound and the lymph node has grown some, but not alot. Again, I was told to just keep an eye on it. Is is unreasonable to ask for a biopsy or am I just being paranoid? Cancer (lung from smoking, which I don't do) runs in my family-aunts and uncles but not parents or brothers or sister. What I have read on the internet is quite scary, but should I be alarmed? I believe watching the node is good advice. ONce a lymph node is enlarged it often never goes back to it's normal size. Evidently you are being monitored closely and I really don't see a need for a biopsy at this time since the node has shown very little change over the year and a half period.   Regards ....
