Swollen lymph node in breast?

Swollen lymph node in breast?

I am 37 and have been having a clear discharge from my left breast for several months. I have had a hysterectomy and am on Menest.  My doctor recently sent me for a mammogram which showed 2 density nodules. When compared to a baseline mammogram from 2 years ago it is a new finding. I had an ultrasound a couple of days ago and they said that it only showed a swollen lymph node. I have been told to wait 6 months and repeat mammogram and ultrasound. Is it reasonable to wait that long or should I seek another opinion? Is it common for lymph nodes in the breast to be enlarged?

Dear PRB, Lymph nodes can be swollen due to infection or inflammation, and something like this can resolve on it's own.  You could always seek an opinion from a breast specialist to look at the mammogram films, and ultrasound to evaluate and give a second opinion.
