Tamoxifen Interaction

by shoebox186, Sep 25, 2009 10:33PM
Hi, just wanted to know if it is safe to take Brufen while I am on Tamoxifen. I am having a lot of pain in my left shoulder after a fall.(mastectomy right breast). Ortho surgeon says I have an impingement in the shoulder and inflamation (inflammation). Physiotherapy is helping a little but just now the pain is bad and I have some Brufen that was prescribed by my GP before I began on Tamoxifen in August 09.

Hi there, I know that while taking anti estrogen medication like Tamoxifen or Arimidex, one can take over the counter pain killers.About Brufen I cannot be sure, but if you cannot get in touch with your oncologist to ask him this question, your second best choice would be your pharmacist who would know for sure if there is any interaction concerning these two medications.Hope that your shoulder will be better soon.Take care.
