Tired of being tested

Tired of being tested

I am 32,and have been feeling bad since about January. The past few weeks my symptoms(nausea, constipation, loss of appetite, severe fatigue)have become a daily thing instead of a couple times a week.My family doctor has done every blood test that can be done.Three test that were elevated each time were C-Reactive Protien(35),Sed Rate-Westergen(46),and WBC(15,000)He referred me to a Rhuematologist, and her test showed the same thing. She referred me to a Gynecologist, and a Hematologist. She said she wasn't saying that I had Leukemia, but that the Hematologist needed to rule it and other things out.I have that appt.in a couple of weeks.I saw a Gynecologist a few days ago,and she focused in on a swollen area where my lymphnodes are at my right armpit.I told her it had been there about a month, and she scheduled me for a mammogram, and a pelvic sonogram. She said it is a Axillary mass.If it turns out to be BC,and has spread to my nodes, does that mean that it spread at the same time my mass appeared or could it have spread a long time ago? Also I would like an opinion on what may be going on with me.Thanks for your time,missyh12

Dear missyh12, An axillary mass can be related to several things you really can't say just based on it's being there that this is breast cancer.  Because of all that is going on with you they are trying to rule out causes for your symptoms.  One possible cause of an axillary mass could be breast cancer, thus the recommendation for the mammogram.  I wish I could help more but it is impossible to give you a definite answer, hopefully the tests will help to determine what you are dealing with soon.

axillary mass means lump in the armpit; in other words, nothing you don't already know so far. It's possible the lump has to do with what's causing your symptoms; I'd guess it would be recommended that it be removed and tested. It's not very likely to be breast cancer; that is, it's not likely that breast cancer would cause the symptoms you describe. But some things that would cause a lymph node to enlarge could do it, such as several different possible infections, or lymphoma.
