Tram Buldge

After 15 years there is something growing on the side where i had the surgery. I will be seeing my doctor soon. Is there anyone out there that has had this problem after such a long time? It took me so long to have it checked out because I thought it was due to my weight gain, then i noticed that the upper part of my stomach was starting to protrude and look as if i were with child and now i am starting to have some pain. What causes all of this to happen? I was never told this could happen.

Have you had any success? What have your doctors suggested if anything? The most information I have gained is that fluid was/is collecting on top of the goretex patch that was used to support the abdomen. I have no evidence of infection and the fluid is so minute that it is not/does not account for the abdominal protrusion/bulging as you described. I also have a lot of discomfort and cannot wear pants that fit across the abdominal bulge. I feel like the men you see with "beer belly's" who wear their pants below the belly...yikes!
