Tram Flap reconstruction

I had a tram flap reconstruction done after mastectomy in 2002.  My problem is that for the past year I have had pain in the upper abdomen that dr's cannot give me a diagnosis.  I have had every blood test and scan known to man and gallbladder removal, still no result.  I am going to my second pain management doctor who feels it is the muscle used for the tram, that I may have suffered some trauma to the muscle itself.  I am in pain 24/7, pain meds help but this is not resolving the problem.
I need anyones help or opinion on what to do.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Dear Versace,     The length of time pain continues after abdominal surgery does vary and usually will resolve over time.  Your situation is obviously more complicated.  Over the internet without ability to ask questions, evaluate including review of testing that has been done to evaluate and physical examination it is difficult to advise.

I had the identical procedure as you two years ago.  I had pain for 5 months under my left breast that would leave me incompacitated.  After months of simply trying Motrin 800's I simply told my plastic surgeon that he needed to help me in another way.  Within two weeks I was back on the operating table, they released the muscle and sewed it back on in a less tight fashion (ie fewer attachments/ fewer sutures).  Within two weeks I felt great.

I can't say that this would work for you since it has been many years but your surgeon owes you this.  If he won't try it, find a better surgeon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
