Tram flap

I had breast cancer twelve years ago, had a tram flap but it is about a week now that it feels a bit swollen and sensitive.  What could this be?

Dear dot218, Over the internet without ability to evaluate including physical examination it is impossible for us to say what is causing your symptoms.  It is best to have this checked by your doctor who can ask questions, and examine.

i had a bilateral tram flap reconstruction in 1996.  prior to this surgery, i ran marathons regularly, led a happy, active life.  i was unable to walk upright after the surgery.  the pain was excruciating.  i look to be 6 months pregnant, have bowel problems, depression, difficulty breathing.  i became a different person overnight.  this led to divorce.  i've been to many doctors, have tried alternative medicine.  i've had surgery to repair hernias, surgery to lyse adhesions, exploratory surgeries to figure out why the pain is so bad.  the tram flap reconstruction ought to be illegal.  it was the biggest mistake of my life.  NO woman should EVER have this surgery
