Followup treatment, like japdip said, depends on many factors.  How much treatment and the type  depends on the stage and characteristics of the cancer.  Your doctors have your specific information and will help you sort through your options.  Treatment for cancer often includes surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy, based on your specific situation.

When I was first diagnosed, I did some general reading on breast cancer which included overviews of common treatment techniques.  It gave me the vocabulary to talk with my doctor and led to more specialized study as I learned more about breast cancer and about my cancer.  It is overwhelming, but begins to make more sense.  I am thinking of you.
