Dear Judyann5:  Metastatic phyllodes tumors can be difficult to treat.  Since the disease has spread, the treatment options must be directed at treating the whole body.  This usually translates to chemotherapy.  As doxorubicin and ifosfamide were not effective, it may be that trying some other medications or seeking a clinical trial would be your best option.

I am just wondering if you have had a thorough second or third pathology check on your Phyllodes tumor.  There have been several cases of mixed cell types.  This might help in formulating a different chemo regimen.

Take Care,  Sharon
