Tricep pulling sensation

Tricep pulling sensation

I had a large left-sided lumpectomy for DCIS with post-surgical radiation in 1998.  Excision was deep, to the chest wall.  This year (2010), I've developed an odd "pulling" sensation in my left triceps, particularly when stretching or reaching w/ my arm, or sometimes while sitting and taking a very deep breath (diaphragm/chest expansion).   Any recorded symptoms like this due to scar tissue or the like due to post-radiation?  My gynecologist was of the "maybe, anything is possible" opinion when asked about it, and I have yet to see my internist.   Mammographer and radiologist were also of the "maybe" opinion.    Thank you for your time.

Dear mamak8802:  Certainly, scar tissue can develp over time due to both surgery and radiation therapy.  Whether or not this has anything to do with your current symptoms is impossible to determine.  You should see your internist who can evaluate this discomfort and make appropriate recommendations for further evaluation, if needed.

Thank you; my intent was to have my MD evaluate for sure, but was curious as to whether anyone else had either experienced something like this or heard of it.    I appreciate your time and advice.
