UPDATE ON "DEE52"

Hey there everyone....It is me....Just an update on mom, I have been really bad about keeping everyone up-to-date things have been hectic with work and soccer,  I talked to daddy 2 days ago and he said that when the Dr's did the Masectomy that they sent off her tissue to be examined and the results that came back said that they had removed about 5 more centimeters of cancer than what they previously removed which was 5 centimeters, he said that he felt confident that they removed all of it, and the normal course is to do radiation, but since she has already had radiation on that area they can not do it again, so she will be starting chemo soon, she had a pet scan done that will determine if the cancer has spread any where else in her body and they get those results back tomorrow, and then she has an appointment on Thurs and Friday as well, she fell last week, trying to be to independent already and bruised her chest but the Dr said that she was fine, it just prolonged the time that she has to have the drainage tubes in , it was down to 22cc's and now it is up to 70 cc's as of 2 days ago, so we are just praying that she can get those out soon.  I talked to her today and she said that everything makes her cry, she cried after talking to Gretchen today, the medicine that she is on keeps her kind of zoned out so talking to her has been difficult for me as well, I know that they just want her to heal , and I should not complain but talking to her is so difficult now, and it makes it so hard on me not being there, I know I should not complain after all she is going through, I just wish there was more we could do.....We just have to continue to pray, this long road for her, is by no means over, it has just begun and she needs us all now more than ever.....I do hope that this finds everyone doing well....I am contemplating doing a 3 day Susan G. Komen walk that is 20 miles per day for 3 days, it is next year, there is one in Arizona and one in Tampa, I didnt know if any of you guys would want to do it with me, you would have to find a support group where you are at, and train there, but we can walk together on the day of the event, and its not until next year, so we have plenty of time to train.  Here is the site www.the3day.org let me know if anyone would be willing to do this with me....I will talk to you guys soon.
