Uneven Breast Size

Hi, I am quite full bodied and seem to be having uneven breast sizes (left bigger).  I don't have any discharges but my left breast/lymph nodes on left breast seem to be tender frequently.  Is there reason for concern?  Thanks.

Dear KathyC:  It is normal for women to have uneven breast sizes.  Breast cancer does not usually cause pain or tenderness.  Often tenderness is associated with menstrual cycle.  You may want to keep track of when this happens and see if it correlates to your cycle.  Likely, there is no reason for concern.  However, if you continue to feel worried, you should check with your family doctor or gynecologist.
