Unhappy Tram Flap

Unhappy Tram Flap

In 2005  I had a tram flap on my left breast.  I know you can only have that once. I decided not to do my right breast because I didn't want my husband to have to endure more pain than I new he was going to have to.  (I know, stupid reason)  Now I am not happy with the tram flap.  I have tried every bra in the world and the left strap is always falling down or the bra coming up.  I have had about 6 surgeries in all. A year later I am looking for ways to make both breast the same so maybe I can actually look normal through my clothing.  Bra's are uncomfortable so I tried tank tops under my shirts.  That works for the winter with ten layers of clothing, but what about other times?  One nipple points north and the other south.  I thought of having my left breast redone but what type of surgery is there that can accomodate a tram flap. OR can I have it removed and start with another flap from a different part of my body?  The breast is not the only problem.  Under my left breast on my upper abs there is a strange "fat pocket."  It looks like I'm fat on that one side.  Any tight shirt makes me look like I have three breast.    Let's not forget I still feel discomfort through my abs and breast. I feel my muscles pulling (apart).  I seem to have more stomach problems than before cancer. I did have three hernias my plastic surgeon had to repair.  I'm just uncertain about things.  I would like to know if there are any possiblilities out ther?????????

Dear kagy:  There may be a variety of options to help with your situation but these would be best presented by a plastic surgeon who can evaluate your anatomy and provide specific options that may suit your case.  If you are unhappy with your current plastic surgeon, you might consider a second or even third opinion.  There may also be plastic surgeons in your area (usually affiliated with large academic medical centers) who may specialist in breast reconstruction and repair.
